Northeast Credit Union Athlete of the Week - Morris & Dumais
While much of the College was shut down for winter break, several teams continued to compete with favorable results. This week's athletes were chosen based on their outstanding play in the entire month of December. Senior Camille Dumais led the women's hockey team to a 3-1 record in the month while her male counterpart, Cab Morris backstopped the men's hockey team to a 4-1 upset over number 2 ranked UNH in the Ledyard Classic.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding
student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union
Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their
efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Cab Morris, (Wilmette, Ill..) Jr., Goalie, Men's Hockey
Morris backstopped the Big Green to a 4-1 upset over second-ranked and in-state rival New Hampshire in the preliminary round of the Ledyard Classic. In that outing, the junior netminder stopped a career-high 31 shots as the then 10th-ranked Big Green defeated the Wildcats at home in front of a sold-out Thompson Arena. Morris finished the weekend tournament with 57 saves against both UNH and UMass the following evening.
