HANOVER, N.H. - In the final match-up of the weekend at the 2012 Dartmouth Fall Classic, the No. 8 men's team fell to No. 7 Franklin & Marshall, 5-4, Sunday afternoon.
After three straight wins to start the weekend on their home courts inside the Berry Sports Center, the Big Green were unable to overcome timely play by the visitors in the middle matches, suffering their second setback of the season.
Chris Jung and Bayard Kuensell started the day off on a strong note for the Green with consecutive victories. Kuensell's five-game thriller with Sujat Barua had the crowd on its feet in anticipation of every point as the sophomore from Haverford, Pa., edged out the visiting competitor, 13-11, in the decisive game to take the match.
The team will now head off on its Winter Training Trip before returning to regular season and Ivy League play in mid January against Princeton and Penn.
