MADISON, Conn. - The Dartmouth men's cross country team ran to a fourth-place finish Friday afternoon at the 2012 NCAA Northeast Regional. The meet was held at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Conn., and was co-hosted by Yale and Fairfield.

The Green and White claimed fourth on the strength of 144 team points. Iona won the meet with 45 points, while Columbia (72) and Syracuse (73) followed.

Leading the way for the Big Green on this day was junior Will Geoghegan who claimed 17th overall in 30:37.

The second member of the Green and White to cross the finish line of the 10K course was Dylan O'Sullivan. The sophomore harrier ran a 31:04 to take 25th place.

O'Sullivan was at the front of a pack of Dartmouth runners as four members of the team finished within eight seconds of one another. The third Dartmouth harrier to finish was senior Jonathan Gault, running in his final cross country meet as a member of the team. He was 32nd overall in 31:09.8.

Junior Steve Mangan and senior Phil Royer were the next two to cross, doing so 34th and 36th, respectively. Mangan ran a 31:11.5, while Royer finished in 31:12.9.
