Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding
student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Woodlands Credit Union
Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their
efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Carissa Crawford, (San Diego, Calif.) Jr., Sailing
Deirdre Lambert, (Cumberland, Maine) So., Sailing
Sailing in A Division, Lambert and Crawford finished in the top-five in five of the seven races sailed, showing great consistency in wide ranging conditions. The duo scored just 33 points to take first overall in the division. For their efforts the sailors were named NEISA Sailors of the Week.
As a team, the Big Green finished first of 20 teams, winning the regatta for the first time in 10 years. Dartmouth tallied a combined score of 78 points, six points ahead of second-place finisher Yale.
In his third start of the season, junior forward Patrick Murray picked up his second goal of the season to open the floodgates in Dartmouth's 3-1 win over Penn on Saturday (Oct. 13). The Lakewood, Ohio native has four points on the season and has taken 16 shots. He also has three shots on goal for the Big Green.
