EGG HARBOR, N.J. - After day one of the ECAC Division I Women's Golf Championships at the Twisted Dune Golf Course in Egg Harbor, N.J., Friday, the Dartmouth golf team sits in fourth place with a first round score of 320. Sacred Heart leads the pack with a team total of 311. Penn (316) and Hartford (319) also edged out the Big Green on the opening day of competition.

Junior Sarah Knapp and freshman Jessica Goldstein each shot 78 (+6) to lead the Dartmouth squad. The pair is currently tied for seventh overall, four strokes back of the first round leader, Fairleigh Dickinson's Juaristi Mariana. Knapp had a stellar performance in last year's tournament, finishing tied for second with a final score of 150, helping Dartmouth capture the ECAC Championship.

Jane Lee (81), Emily Hyman (83) and Lily Morrison (85) round out the top five finishers for the Big Green.

With action continuing Saturday, Dartmouth will look to make a run in hopes of claiming its second straight ECAC title. The Big Green teed off at 9:21 a.m.
