Took over the starting role at right guard on the offensive line ... started eight of the games, coming in as a reserve in another and was unable to play in the final game against Princeton due to an injury ... key component of an offensive line that allowed just nine sacks all season, among the fewest in the FCS, and opened holes for Nick Schwieger who ran for 1,000 yards for a second straight year.

Served as the backup at both guard positions on the offensive line ... contributed to paving the way for running back Nick Schwieger, the league leader in rushing yards and scoring, to be the co-winner of the Ivy League’s Bushnell Cup ... part of a unit that surrendered just seven sacks all season, a total bested by just three FCS teams.

Saw action in six games, including the first two against Colgate and at sixth-ranked New Hampshire ... also participated in the final two contests at Brown and versus Princeton.

Led Wayzata to a 13-0 record and 5A Minnesota championship as a senior ... chosen to all-state, all-metro and all-conference first teams ... selected to the Metro team for the 36th annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game ... served as captain of Wayzata football and track teams as a senior ... tossed shot 53 feet to win section championship as a junior ... also wrestled for two years.

Majoring in psychology ... son of Bill and Ellie ... both parents are Iowa State graduates ... bicycled across Iowa ... talented singer interested in joining choir or a capella groups at Dartmouth ... once danced in The Nutcracker ... likes to ski.
