Q and A with Stephanie

Why Dartmouth?
When I was looking at colleges, Dartmouth's world class ski team and excellent academics was an unbeatable combination. Also my sister was an '06 and all I ever heard from her was how fun Dartmouth was, so the Big Green was my first choice hands down!

How long have you been skiing and what got you interested in skiing?
I've been skiing since I could walk. It was an amazing part of my childhood and I'm sure it will continue to be my favorite sport for the rest of my life. I love the 'zoom zoom' feeling of skiing on fast snow and I also love skiing around the trails at Oak Hill chatting with my friends!

Have you won any academic or skiing awards recently?
I was an Academic All-American last year. And I was Dartmouth Athlete of the Month last year (not sure which month).

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I was hooked on DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) when I was in middle school.

What are your future plans, if any?

I'd like to work as an engineer to develop renewable energy technologies.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I'm the Tanzania project leader of Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering. And I am also a leader in Cabin and Trail (a DOC sub-club).
