HANOVER, N.H. – In the second day of the College Squash Association Individual Championship, three members of the Dartmouth women’s squash team advanced to the next round of the post season tournament held at the Berry Squash Courts in Hanover.
In the Holleran Division, Jacqueline Barnes defeated Princeton’s Madison Soukup, 3-1. While Barnes was up 2-1 against the Tiger’s Alexandra Toth, she was forced to retire her match due to an injury.
Meanwhile Julia Potter defeated Haverford’s Kaitlin Reese and and Bates’ Eliza Dunham. She will face Anne Glassie in the consolation round finals tomorrow afternoon.
Rebecca Brownell also walked away with a victory, defeating Fiona Power in a close match, coming back from two games down to win in five games. Tomorrow she will face Nadindhi Udangawa in the consolation round.
Janel Gaube beat Wellesley’s Meera Nayar followed by Denison’s Anandita Gupta. Gaube will extend her season by taking on Hannah Hay-Smith in the third day of play.
Annie Blasberg lost to Trinity’s Jennifer Haley in the final match of her rookie season with the Big Green.
