HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men will compete in two separate cross country meets this weekend. The Big Green will run in both the Rothenberg Run on Friday in Warwick, R.I., as well as the Wisconsin adidas Invitational Saturday in Madison.
In all, 36 teams will make up the field at Wisconsin’s meet, regarded as one of the top regular-season races all season. Set to get started at 11 a.m. local time (12 p.m. ET), the men will run the 8K Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course adjacent to the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison. Dartmouth will be joined by Ivy League foes Columbia and Harvard in the men’s race, two fewer Ancient Eight programs than in the women’s meet.
The weekend actually gets started on Friday though as 10 individuals will wear the Green and White at Brown’s Rothenberg Run held at Goddard State Park. Besides the Big Green and the host Bears, UMass, UConn, Bryant Harvard and Rhode Island will also run the 5K course that is set to get underway Friday at 3 p.m.
