David Jenkerson begins his third year as the team’s strength and conditioning coach after serving as the head strength coach at Saint Anselm College. Jenkerson over saw the Hawks entire strength and conditioning department, working primarily with football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, field hockey and volleyball. Prior to Saint Anselm, he worked at Georgia Southern where he spent three years working directly with the Eagle football program as the head football strength and conditioning coach.

Following a year at Rutgers in 2005 as an intern in the strength and conditioning department, Jenkerson spent two years as a graduate assistant at Valdosta State, supervising baseball and softball while assisting with football.

A native of Manchester, N.H., Jenkerson earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Springfield College in 2005. He played for three years at strong safety and helped his team win two Freedom Football Conference titles and advance to the NCAA Division III playoffs. He was a two-time all-state cornerback at Manchester Central and played on a state championship team.

Currently Jenkerson is certified in strength and conditioning through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and also holds certification status from the USA Weightlifting Association.
