BLACKSBURG, Va. - Dartmouth freshman diver Brett Gillis (Kitchner, Ontario, Canada) closed action at the 2013 NCAA Zone A Meet by taking 10th in the platform competition. Gillis posted a score of 561.45.
Gillis, who advanced to the finals in the platform, scored a 253.50 in the morning preliminary dives, finishing in 10th place. In the afternoon final, the freshman scored a 561.45 in the six-dive competition.
Gillis was one of two Ivy League divers in the competition. Princeton's Stevie Vines was also in the platform competition and finished fourth with a time of 690.80. This was the first time Dartmouth had a diver compete in the Zone Diving meet since 2010 when Erica Serpico (Moorestown, N.J.) competed in the event.
