Q and A with Jesse
After visiting Dartmouth as a junior in high school I fell in love with the New Hampshire scenery and the outdoorsy feel of the school. Everyone I talked to was so enthusiastic and welcoming, and no other school I saw had a student body that could match that.
How long have you been riding and what got you interested in riding?
I started riding when I was 8 after my mom got me a book about horseback riding. I begged my parents to sign me up for lessons, and on my 8th birthday, they agreed. As I got older I became more involved, riding more times per week and leasing horses, and I've loved riding ever since.
Tell me something that might come as a surprise to your teammates:
I really love drawing and painting, especially when it comes to sketching portraits.
What activities are you involved in outside of the equestrian team?
I love to go on trips with Cabin and Trail, and I am also a part of Dartmouth EMS.
What are your future plans?
I'm still undecided about what major I want to pursue, but I'd love to do something that incorporates my love of languages.
