From the hardwood to the waters of the pool, Big Green athletes show what they can do week in and week out. Junior Nicola Zimmer tied a career high with 18 points to lead the women's basketball team to a 58-45 win over Harvard. Across town in the pool, freshman Jun Oh won the 1650 free and the 50 free to help the men's swim team to a victory in the Dartmouth Invitational. For their efforts Oh and Zimmer were named the Northeast Credit Unon Athletes of the week.

Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Nicola Zimmer, (Chevy Chase, Md.) Jr., G Women's Basketball

In her first game back on the hardwood in three games, junior point guard Nicola Zimmer (Chevy Chase, Md.) tied her career-high with 18 points to lead the Big Green to an upset of Harvard on Saturday (Jan. 26). Zimmer  added four rebounds and three steals and was 7-of-8 from the charity stripe down the stretch.  The win snapped the Crimson's six-game win streak over the Big Green and evened Dartmouth's Ivy League record at 1-1.

Jun Oh  (Andover, Mass. ) Fr., Freestyle, Men's  Swimming

Rookie swimmer Jun Oh (Andover, Mass.) picked up wins in the 1650 free and the 500 free as the Dartmouth swimming and diving teams swept the competition at the third annual Dartmouth Invitational. Oh has been quite impressive during his freshman campaign and in the last two meets has won the 500 free. Against Yale and Penn, he also took runner-up status in the 1000 free and the 200 free.
