Q & A with Bradley Plunkett

Why Dartmouth?

What I found attractive about Dartmouth was the opportunity to pursue a strong, well-rounded education while in a beauitful campus setting. Also, I was impressed by Dartmouth's particular ability to develop good rowers into excellent ones over the course of four years.

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?

I started rowing the summer going into my sophomore fall of high school. I was a year-round competitive swimmer but decided to take a learn-to-row class at my local boathouse and have been hooked ever since.

Have you won any awards?

I raced the coxed four at the World Rowing Junior Championships for the US Junior National Team this past summer in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I also won Youth Nationals in the coxed four this past June while racing for Deerfield Academy, where I also received the Coaches' Award.

Something interesting about yourself?

I have two bothers and one sister, the goldfish that I got in 2nd grade is still alive and well, and I have never driven a car.
