Freshman (2011-12): In her first collegiate season, Okuda appeared in all 21 of the Big Green's matches playing in both singles and doubles action. in singles, she went 5-16 scoring wins Stony Brook, Farleigh Dickinson, Columbia, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Boston University...Competed a majority of the season at No. 2 singles... in doubles, Okuda picked up seven wins, most notably against No. 54 Boston College, Columbia and St. John's. Before Dartmouth: Played for Tenafly High School during her prep career ... earned five varsity letters during her prep career (four in tennis and one in track and field) ... was the captain of the tennis team her senior year ... earned first team All-Bergen County all four years ... was first team all-state her senior season ... her team won the New Jersey State Group title in 2007-08. Personal: Akiko Okuda is the daughter of Tatsumi and Yukiko Okuda ... has one sister ... was born on September 13, 1993.
