• Named the team’s Defensive Most Valuable Player
Was one of just five players to start in all 14 games for the Big Green over the course of the year…Did not register a point…Second on the team with nine caused turnovers…Collected 14 ground balls and six draw controls…Was the team’s best shutdown defender all season, helping her earn the accolade as Defensive MVP.
Started all 19 games for Dartmouth in 2013…Was one of the team’s top defensive players tasked with playing opposite opponents’ best attackers…Did not register a point…Was fifth on the team with 17 ground balls…Posted eight caused turnovers…In seven Ivy League games, she had six ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Saw action in 16 games, making 14 starts...A solid defender, she ranked fourth on the team with eight caused turnovers in her second season in Hanover...Johnson finished the year with 16 ground balls and five draw controls to go along with her eight CTs...Did not register a point.
Played in eight games in her first season with the Big Green ... Made her collegiate debut in the season opener with UNH on Feb. 26 ... Had a caused turnover against Vermont in coming off the bench ... Picked up a ground ball against Brown on April 2 ... Came off the bench to play against Albany in the NCAA Tournament game in Hanover on May 16.
Played three years of varsity lacrosse at Bryn Mawr, serving as team captain her senior year ... Was a scholar athlete selection as a sophomore, junior and senior... IWLCA Academic All-America in 2010 ... Also played basketball and field hockey, winning two IAAMA Division championships in field hockey and captaining both teams ... Played club lacrosse for TLC 2010 Red, winning the National Draw Championship in 2006 and 2007 ... Team also won various tournaments including the Top of the Bay (four times), Charm City (2006), Beach Lax (2006) and Mid-Atlantic regionals in 2007.
Personal: Caroline Bailey Johnson ... Daughter of Tom and Laura Johnson ... Has one older and two younger brothers ... Both parents were athletes at Trinity where her father played football and mother played lacrosse and field hockey.
What drew you to the Dartmouth Lacrosse Program?
After visiting campus, I felt a strong connection to the other players on the team and really enjoyed the sense of pride and tradition that existed on the team. Also, I fell in love with Dartmouth and Hanover and couldn’t imagine going to school anywhere else.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I don’t really however I am really good at coloring.
As a little kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a ballerina and wear a big pink tutu, alas this didn’t work out when I started to grow taller than 5’.
Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met in person?
I have met Ben Folds and Sara Bareilles, I can’t say that I am responsible for meeting them but it was an amazing experience and I am now obsessed with all of their songs.
What do you love most about playing on our home field Scully-Fahey?
I love playing on Scully because all of my friends who I can find cheering in the stands, a real sense of community.

I was fortunate enough to spend my 21st birthday in Australia with the team; we spent that day on the Great Barrier Reef. I couldn’t image a better way to spend a birthday, with your best friends in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
