Q & A with Hannah

Why Dartmouth?

I chose Dartmouth because, aside from the amazing opportunities it provides with studying abroad and academics, I liked the feel of the atmosphere when I stepped on campus. Also, it's Division I athletics, but the athletes also have other interests and passions besides their sports.

How long have you been running cross country and what got you interested in cross country?

I have been running cross country for two years now. I started as a soccer player, and was literally pulled from the team by my high school cross country coach the end of my sophomore year.

Have you won any academic or cross country awards recently?

I guess my most noteworthy awards were the Gatorade Awards for Vermont, which I received for Track and Field as well as Cross Country my junior and senior years.

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

One kind of interesting thing is that my family is extremely musical, my dad being my high school music teacher, so music is a huge part of my life; I sing, play the saxophone, and piano.

What are your future plans, if any?

My future plans, for now, are to do something with sociology and Spanish.
