HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s tennis team concluded its 2-0 home weekend with a 5-2 defeat of Columbia at the Boss Tennis Center on senior day Sunday. The Big Green improved to 10-10 overall and 3-2 in Ivy League play, while the Lions dipped to 10-7 and 2-2. 

Dartmouth won the doubles point to take the 1-0 lead into singles. At the No. 2 position, senior Kristina Mathis and sophomore Racquel Lyn erased a 1-4 deficit to win their match, 6-4, while senior Julia Schroeder and freshman Abigail Chiu followed that up with a 6-3 victory at the top spot.

No. 115 Mathis got singles started with her 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Christie Wan at the No. 1 position, while sophomore Chuyang Guan made it 3-0 in the Green’s favor with her 6-2, 6-0 win over Sarah Rahman. Schroeder clinched with her 6-1, 6-4 victory over Jennifer Kerr at No. 2. 

The Lions got two points on the board, but Lyn’s 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(5) win over Andrea Kevakian ended the match.

Next weekend, Dartmouth will close the regular season at Penn and Princeton.
