Gary Gargan enters his first year with the Dartmouth squash program as an assistant coach in 2017-18.
Gargan graduated from the University of the West of England in 2004 with a degree in sports conditioning and coaching. He has spent the last six years as a professional squash coach and the head pro for Cross Courts Squash and Fitness in Natick, Massachusetts. Along with his coaching in Natick he has spent many seasons coaching high school varsity teams including Dana Hall, Eagle Hill and Needham High.
Not one to sit still, he has also been active in the summer squash programs, working with teams at Dartmouth, Brown, Harvard, Yale and MIT.
A native of Zimbabwe, Gargan lived one mile from squash courts while growing up, and his father had a heavy influence on him playing the sport. He played for the Junior National Team representing Zimbabwe on several occasions.
Gargan resides in Harrisville, New Hampshire with his wife, three kids, two dogs and one cat.
