With it's excellent academic reputation, small town location, and awesome campus, Dartmouth seemed like the perfect place for me.
How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?
My dad is a charter captain, so I can't remember ever not having sailing in my life, and it has always been something I loved. I started learning to sail myself with Nantucket Community Sailing when I was eight.
What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?
I was captain of my high school sailing team, and our senior year my best friend and I won our local regatta, Cape & Islands Woman's Champs, which was super fun. Academically, I am most proud of being Salutatorian of my graduating class.
Tell us something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

What are your future sailing and career plans?
I hope to continue sailing in college and I am considering the possibility of a career in medicine or the sciences.
What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?
I was on my high school sailing team for four years, and a cheerleader for two. I was also involved in student government. I've been taking ceramics classes since I was twelve, and I would love to continue making pottery at Dartmouth.
