Q&A with Kate Griffiths

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
I have been rowing since I was 13, when my friends persuaded me to try it out. At first it was just for fun but as I started to take it more seriously I really liked how it enabled me to push  myself mentally and physically every practice.

What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
I've seen Bruce Springsteen in concert 8 times.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I mentor a girl at a local middle school, and once a week take part in Big Green Readers, helping kids at an elementary school learn to read.

What are your future plans, if any?
Get faster, get smarter, and travel the world.
