2016-17 (Junior): Second on the team in goals with 11 and scoring with 23 points...Four of his 12 assists on the season were to game-winning goals; home vs. Michigan on Oct. 29, game 2 of the two-game series at Robert Morris on Nov. 27, home vs. Princeton on Jan. 6, and at Brown on Feb. 17...Scored the first hat-trick of his career at home vs. St. Lawrence on Feb. 24, the second hat trick of the season for a Dartmouth player and just the third in seven years by a Big Green skater...Represented Canada at the Maccabiah Games in Israel.
2015-16 (Sophomore): Third on the team in goals with 10 and sixth in scoring with 17 points... Scored his first goal of the season at No. 11 Harvard on Nov. 1...Assisted on Jack Barre's first goal against Brown on Nov. 6 in a 7-3 home win...Scored once and assisted on another in a loss at Quinnipiac...Named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Feb. 23 after a two-goal, two-assist performance at home against Colgate in a 5-2 win on Feb. 19...After missing a game to injury, he scored two goals at St. Lawrence and Clarkson the following weekend...Had an assist in the Game 1 OT win at Yale in the quarterfinals.
2014-15 (Freshman): Appeared in 26 games…Finished as the top-scoring freshman with four goals and five assists for nine points…Was tabbed as the ECAC Hockey rookie of the Week on Dec. 16 for his play against Sacred Heart where he scored once and assisted on two more…Notched his first career goal on Dec. 6 at Princeton…Scored the tying goal midway through the third period and assisted on Carl Hesler's game-winner late in regulation against defending national champion Union at home on Jan. 31…Scored again the following game at Brown on Feb. 6…Dartmouth was a perfect 4-0-0 when Kalk scored a goal and 5-1-0 when he had at least one point.
Before Dartmouth: A true centerman, Kalk carries the expectations of a player who recorded 155 points in three seasons with the North York Rangers of the OJHL. In the 2012-13 season, Kalk finished second on the team and seventh in the league in scoring with 76 points on 31 goals and 45 assists in 52 games. During his team's run to the conference final, Kalk added 30 points as he found the back of the net 16 more times and added 14 helpers in the 18-game postseason. This past winter, he finished with 48 points (20-28-48), while also chipping in with four goals and seven points in eight playoff contests. Prior to his time with the Rangers, he was a three-year letterwinner at Country Day School in King City, Ontario.
Personal: Son of Gary and Carrie-Lynn...Has one brother...Mother played tennis at Oklahoma State (1985-87)...Brother is a member of the Dartmouth men's soccer team...Grandfather represented South Africa in both cricket and soccer, playing the latter professionally with Highlands Park.
