Jamilah Ali joins the Dartmouth compliance office in the spring of 2018. Ali will work with the associate athletics director in helping to educate and foster a positive atmosphere for Dartmouth’s 35 varsity teams, coaches and administrators.
Jamilah is a former Division I student-athlete competing in gymnastics at Bowling Green University. In her junior year, Ali competed in the vault and balance beam for the Falcons and put up scores of at least 9.800 in each event. As a senior she had four first-place finishes and posted a career-best 9.875 to win the vault in BGSU's season-opening victory over Michigan State. She also worked as a student volunteer in the athletic department's compliance office while at BG, and coached young gymnasts at the YMCA of Greater Toledo.
Jamilah earned her undergraduate degree at Bowling Green in August of 2015 and followed that with her masters of Business from Ohio University. She is currently completing her masters of Sports Administration degree while working in the compliance office at Ohio University.
Jamilah is originally from Manchester, N.J. where she has worked coaching youth gymnastics.
