Q&A with Kiana Outen

Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because of the broad array of opportunities and activities. Theres always something going on on campus and everyone is so passionate about what they do, that almost everything ends up being a success.

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?

This is my first year ever rowing and so far, I love it. In high school I ran track, and I am naturally very competitive, so I really like racing and think it is awesome to be a part of a sport where I can race, but do it as a team.

What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?

I have "double jointed" shoulders, which is pretty creepy.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
Besides rowing, I babysit.

What are your future plans, if any?
Taking as many random classes as I can until I have to pick my major.
