Head Coach
Bob Whalen
A mainstay in Hanover, Bob Whalen is serving his 28th season as Dartmouth's head baseball coach in the 2017 campaign. After terrific success as a coach at the University of Maine, Whalen has guided the Big Green to success both on and off the field since his arrival prior to the 1990 season. Under Whalen's leadership, the Big Green have accumulated 546 victories (a Dartmouth record) against 521 losses and one tie, two Ivy titles, 11 Red Rolfe Division crowns — all in the past 17 seasons — and 73 first team All-Ivy and All-EIBL selections, plus sent 26 players to the professional ranks. Three of Whalen's players have been named the Ivy Player of the Year, three more have been the league's Pitcher of the Year and a league-record seven have earned the Ivy Rookie of the Year Award.   FULL BIO
Assistant Coach
Jonathan Anderson
Jonathan Anderson joined the Big Green as an assistant coach for the fall of 2009. Now in his eighth season at Dartmouth, he serves as the third-base coach, works with the outfielders and oversees the hitters and recruiting.   FULL BIO
Assistant Coach
Evan Wells
Wells joined the Big Green coaching staff prior to the fall of 2012 after stints at the University of Washington and, most recently, Creighton University. He works primarily with the infielders and helps out with the hitters while serving as the first-base coach.   FULL BIO
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Jimmy McDonald
McDonald joined the baseball staff late in the summer of 2016 to serve as the volunteer assistant coach. He arrives having spent time coaching as Grambling State, Grace University (Neb.) and Manhattan Christian College (Kan.), serving as the head coach for a season at that last stop.   FULL BIO
