Following a challenging spring schedule that was played mostly in the Carolinas, the Dartmouth men's golf team will wrap up its season this weekend at the Ivy League Championship

Senior Ian Kelsey and freshman Jason Liu each shot par in the third and final round at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate with the latter draining a birdie on his final hole to do so.

Jason Liu finished the first two rounds of the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in a tie for 35th with a 6-over 148 by minimizing mistakes while dropping four birdies.


Captains showed why they have been chosen to lead their respective Big Green teams this past weekend.

Ian Kelsey matched his first-round total with a two-under 70 to win the Cornell Spring Invitational by three strokes while helping Dartmouth tie the host Big Red for the team title.

Senior Ian Kelsey finished the first day of the Cornell Spring Invitational in the lead after shooting a two-under 70 at The Dye Preserve Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.

James Turner shot two-over par on the day and completed the three-round tournament at eight over as Dartmouth finished up in a tie for 13th.

Jason Liu made par on 12 holes and birdied three others in finishing up one-over par on the day as the Big Green improved by three strokes from the first round.

Will Bednarz had five birdies in the opening round of the Furman Invitational to lead the Big Green on Friday.

The Dartmouth men's golf team did well to manage the windy conditions, scoring in the middle of the pack in the final round to move up two spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 14th.

The men's golf team begins the spring season on Monday, Feb. 26 at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion University.
